Ready for Middle School Volleyball Tryouts?
Is your player ready for Middle School Volleyball Tryouts? Get your athlete prepared by attending our 4-hour Middle School Volleyball Ready Training. This clinic is for the 7th & 8th-grade players attending Middle School this Fall. At our Volleyball Clinic, we will work on the following skills.
Players will work on following volleyball skills
Passing Skills* – Details
We’re helping Middle School players with the following Passing Skills:
- Passing platforms & angles
- Proper foot movement to the volleyball
- Out of system passing
- Serve-receive
Setting Skills* -Description
Some of the setting skills we’ll work on include:
- Proper footwork
- quick setting
- back setting
- Setting offense
- How to attack as a setter
Hitting Skills* – Details
Middle School players will work on the following hitting steps:
- Proper approach footwork
- arm swing
- hitting line
- hitting cross
- Proper tipping & rolling
- Attacking with a purpose
Serving Skills* – Description
Here are the following Serving skills we’re teaching players:
- Proper footwork
- Fixing the toss
- Deep & Short serving
- Spot serving
- Jump serving
- Float & Top Spin
Other Volleyball Skills
During our Middle School Clinic, our coaches will discuss other skills important to evaluators.
- Communication Skills
- Leadership Skills – Does the player bring the team together or acknowledge others?
- Coachability
- Volleyball IQ
- Teamwork
*Depending on the clinic participant’s volleyball skill level our instructors will do their best to cover the skills listed above

We have two August 2025 Middle School Volleyball Ready Clinics. Players with HOA Club Volleyball Experience should select the Saturday, August 9, 2025, Clinic Date & Time. Players without HOA Club Volleyball Experience should select the Sunday, August 10, 2025, Clinic Date & Time.

MS Volleyball Ready Training location
The Middle School Ready Training sessions will take place at the Eclipse Volleyball Club KC Northland facility. It is located in Pleasant Valley, MO land near I-35 and the Pleasant Valley Road exit.

Fee & Registration
The fee for players attending the 4-hour session is $15o.00.
Parents paying by check or cash, please do so by mailing the fee or contacting Eclipse Volleyball Club KC by August 7, 2025.
Online payment will incur a 5% convenience fee when processing the payment through PayPal.
