Player Requirements to attend the Sunday Volleyball Serving Evolution Clinic

Players must have a consistent overhand serve (at least 3 or more consecutive overhand serves)
Suitable for players ages 12u – 18u with HOA (Heart of America) Club Volleyball experience.
Open to Club Volleyball Experienced Players looking to elevate their Serving Game.

Focus: Master the basics and build a strong, consistent serve while establishing a solid foundation for accuracy and consistency.

Week 1: Key Volleyball Serving Drills

Toss consistency drills for optimal height and placement.
Grip, stance, and footwork
Arm swing mechanics: Emphasizing fluid motion and power transfer
Target practice: Aiming for key zones to develop accuracy.

Focus: Develop pinpoint accuracy and tactical placement with the float serve, while learning control and gaining confidence.

Week 2: Key Volleyball Serving Drills

Float serve variations: Short, deep, and directional control.
Target practice: Hitting specific zones, short corners, and seams.
Serving under pressure: Simulating real-game scenarios.
Analyzing serve patterns to identify and exploit opponent weaknesses.

Focus: Keep your opponent’s guessing by mastering a deceptive serve and unpredictable pace.

Week 3: Key Volleyball Serving Drills

Keep your opponent’s guessing by mastering a deceptive serve and unpredictable pace.
Disguised toss drills: Consistent toss motion with varied serve types.
Short serve placement to catch opponents off guard.
Delayed power serves: Lulling opponents into expecting a soft serve, then adding unexpected speed.
Reading the back row and targeting weaker players.

Focus: Apply advanced serving techniques and strategic thinking in real-game situations.

Week 4: Key Volleyball Serving Drills

Mixing up serve types and placements to keep opponents guessing.
Serving under pressure: Simulating intense, high-stakes scenarios and learning how to control your emotions to focus your serve.
Situational serving: Targeting specific players and zones based on game dynamics.
Combining float, topspin, and deceptive serves to dominate from the line.
Learning to execute serving runs and capitalize on momentum.

The Sunday Volleyball Serving Evolution Clinic will take place at the Eclipse Volleyball Club KC training facility. It is conveniently located in Kansas City’s Northland near I-35 North & Pleasant Valley Road exit. Parkville, Gladstone, Liberty, and Kearney parents can drive to our facility within 10 to 25 minutes.

Fee for players attending the 4-sessions is $160.00

Parents paying by check or cash, please do so by mailing the fee or contacting Eclipse Volleyball Club KC by April 30, 2025.
